Are You Ready for ISE?

February 3, 2020 Editorial Team

Taking place in Amsterdam February 11-14, the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) exhibition is a premier event focused entirely on audiovisual (AV) and systems integration. If you have a project on the horizon, this year’s event can serve as a true springboard for success.

As the show has grown, it has naturally changed and evolved. What started out as a temporary shop window for 120 companies is now a multi-faceted, four-day event that features a huge show floor, comprehensive education and professional development programs, conferences, world class speakers and a multitude of affiliated and partner events.

As with any large event, there are a lot of opportunities, and attendance can quickly become overwhelming. To help you make the most of your visit, we have put together a useful primer spotlighting some opportunities we find most appealing:

Check out the latest technology

Technology is truly the showcase of this show. As one of the largest industry events, ISE 2020 features six different technology zones – each showcasing the most advanced integration technologies available on the market today.

Audio and Live Events. Getting sound right is a crucial component to any AV deployment. With offerings ranging from microphones and headphones to loudspeaker systems and networking, this zone is a must see. This zone also includes all the visual ingredients necessary for making live performances truly unforgettable.

Digital Signage. Whether advertising, information delivery or wayfinding the role of digital signage continues to grow in importance. The retail, transportation, healthcare, corporate, education, leisure and hospitality sectors are just some of the areas where digital signage plays a significant role. Within this zone you will have the opportunity to see digital signage in action and understand how the role it can play within your environment.

Education. Technology touches all areas and learning has never before been so multi-dimensional. Fortunately, technology developers are listening with amazing new offerings designed to support this sector. Any environment where people are learning including museums, educational institutions, businesses and professional development specialists, this zone provides a window to the latest technology derived educational tools and solutions.

Smart. Perhaps the fastest growing space across technology deployments today, smart technology provides an opportunity to create customized experiences. Visitors to this zone will find manufacturers, suppliers and integrators, covering a range of smart technologies such as HVAC, lighting, security, utility and energy management as well as audio.

Unified Communications. Whether you are operating a multisite business or simply need to be able to efficiently and effectively communicate and collaborate with strategic partners and customers, having the right technology in place can make all the difference. This zone will spotlight the latest UC technology designed for the boardroom as well as the increasingly popular huddle space.

Embrace learning opportunities.

There are educational opportunities for all attendees and all learning styles ranging from breakout sessions to main stage keynotes and roundtables.

The best way to make the most of the educational opportunities at an event like ISE, is to assess the opportunities and plan prioritize which discussions are the most applicable to your individual needs.

Main Stage. Some of the main stage opportunities we find promising include a session on 5G and edge computing, understanding human centric design, the future of digital signage, leveraging innovation to create better experiences, VR/AR/XR, the future of the built environment (smart buildings) and a panel debate focused on the best practices for visitor attractions.

Conferences. Throughout the entire event various niche conferences are taking place. For instance, CEDIA is hosting a full day cybersecurity workshop. As we have discussed before, security is a crucial component when planning any AV deployment today. There are also conference opportunities focused on digital signage, hospitality and smart building. These opportunities go far deeper than main stage discussions and attendance could prove useful depending on your upcoming investments in each of these sectors.
