Immersive technology brings intergalactic travel down to earth with a thrilling ultra high-resolution 4D ride.

Santa Clara, California

Take a highly popular video game and add the world’s highest resolution holographic 3D LED screen, 3D 70-channel audio, motion seating and stunning 4D effects. It’s a recipe for an immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of entertainment attractions. With the added element of a live performer this innovative experience aimed to touch all the senses. Electrosonic partnered with 3D Live to create a multimedia ride that takes visitors on a mind- blowing intergalactic journey.

The organizers wanted to deliver a turnkey project to realize the show’s concept and make the most effective use of the sophisticated technology to deliver a true holographic experience. Next-generation 3D visuals, 4K resolution with 8 million pixels on the screen and powerful audio were to play a critical role in the experience. A full-range high-tech audio system, precision surround sound control and custom seat railing loudspeaker arrays were essential to create the fully immersive experience.

The world’s highest resolution 3D LED screen is the stunning backdrop for an immersive intergalactic ride.

Electrosonic worked as an integration partner, designing, programming, installing and integrating the audiovisual and control systems. The 70- channel surround sound audio system provides the immersive sound required and uses advanced binaural systems to add lifelike directionality to sound effects. Sophisticated video playback and show control systems are integrated with motion seating, 3D graphics and 4D effects. Electrosonic’s engineering and operations teams provided project support throughout.

Mass Effect: New Earth is the first show to be based on a video game franchise. It’s a great demonstration of the way entertainment technology is converging to create a format that has a direct impact on the user experience. Live performers react directly with 3D digital visuals while surround sound integrated with motion seating and special 4D effects completely immerse the audience engaging all the senses.

"We had never turnkeyed a ride before, so we felt it best to reach out to a company with a background in that space. From the getgo, Electrosonic was helpful in the budgeting process and getting all our ducks in a row for a project of this scope." - Nathan Huber, 3D Live co-founder and CEO
